Type A connectors shall be referenced as the “HDMI® Connector.”
Type C connectors shall be referenced as the “HDMI® Mini Connector.”
Type D connectors shall be referenced as the “HDMI® Micro Connector.”
Type E connectors shall be referenced as the “HDMI® Automotive Connection System.”
The following are approved for communicating connector type:
• HDMI® input (Mini) / HDMI® output (Mini) or “HDMI® Mini Connector” – refers to a Type C
connector.
• HDMI® input (Micro) / HDMI® output (Micro) or “HDMI® Micro Connector” – refers to a Type D
connector.
• HDMI® input (Automotive Connection System) / HDMI® output (Automotive Connection System)
or “HDMI Automotive Connection System” – refers to a Type E connector.
Please note that the terms “Mini” and “Micro” may be described in local characters (i.e., “ミニ” for
“Mini” and “マイクロ” for “Micro” in Japanese).
